Oh Where Oh Where Did July Go?????

I'm not sure where July went....other than I know it "flew" by!!! Half warm.....half not!! We had a pretty good month....with lots of fun with our family! Joel had the opportunity to attend another Christian Horizon's" Camp at Cran hill Camp in Rodney, Michigan. we will pick him up tomorrow! While he was gone I went to Kurt and Heidi's on Sunday afternoon through Monday evening. I had a wonderful time with everyone and look forward to seeing the kids again August 9th and 10th.
We also celebrated Seth's 4th birthday on July 28th. (Jason and Emily's 2nd born) It's hard for me to believe that Isaac is starting 1st grade this year....and Andrew and Seth will be in pre-school!!
I've been enjoying taking care of Isaac, Seth, and Annie once a week this summer....with the help of Uncle Joel! Joel will be headed back to school in September too! Ken has enjoyed some vacation time this July, we've attended a couple of weddings, and spent time with family and friends.
Health wise I'm still about the same, with some slight improvement:)
I continue to do what I can....and rest when I should!! Thank you once again for your faithful prayers....and for praying for the needs of others as requests come in!
We look forward to a busy August....and more warm weather!!! We are enjoying our "little" pony Sugar Babe......who puts a smile on my face every day cause she's so cute and sweet!!!! The kids love her....and will enjoy her for the many years to come!!! The dogs just think she's one of them!!!!
Speaking of dogs..............Kurt and Heidi are looking for a new home for their dog "Gus". I'll explain more in my next blog.....but if you know of someone who would like an adorable.....beagle/basset mix....mostly house dog....Loves people....but is scared thunder and digital cameras:)....please let us know:) The first set of pics is from our visit to Jenison....the second set is Seth's birthday!!!!
Just a reminder: To get respect, you must give respect:) An important lesson I learned from being a Mom and teacher!!

Baseball on Saturday....Way to go Area 32 Special Olympics

Area 32 Special Olympics had a double header Saturday in Cadillac! The weather was beautiful...and there was a breeze in the air. A special surprise to the day was that 4 of the counselors from Christian Horizon's Camp drove from Muskegon to watch the team play. Several members from the team attending the camp a couple of weeks ago....and were so excited to see their visitors!
Joel did a great job....played third , second, and pitched! We were pretty impressed by Joel's pitching....once he found his "rhythm"....he pitched some strikes:)
I can't believe that summer is half over....oh wait~~~~did it every really get here???? I am thankful for the warm days we have had....but hope Fall holds off for a long time!
