Joel..........A broken wrist....Surgery on Friday

Saturday evening Joel was drving around out back on our rhino (4 x 4 utility)....
talking on his cell phone at the same time ):.......and bam....he hit a tree....
he must have braced himself while holding the wheel in his left hand...and the impact
of hitting the tree broke his wrist:(

He will have surgery on Friday morning (April 23rd)  Dr. Bizzigotti will perform the repair....which is scheduled for 7:40 a.m.   Yikes....we have to be at the hospital by 6:15 a.m.   We are thankful he wasn't hurt any worse than he was. A wrist will heal quicker than a head!!!  Joel felt very bad about the accident and kept apologizing for talking and driving....and told us how much he loved us!!!   LOL...probably trying to soften the consequences of driving and talking!  Needless to say....no more 4 x 4 and phone calls!!!

Mom is back in the hospital in West Shore in Manistee having liquid drained from her lung again.  This time she will also have a procedure done that should repair the leaky spot....but will require a longer hispital stay.  Please continue to pray for her as she is there. 

Today I had the opportunity to speak to two Civics classes at Cadillac Jr. High School about my trip to Washington last October, and the status of the two bills,  S~1545 and H.R. 2408.  I really enjoyed the students....and look forward to going back again in the future.   I have lots more to share...but if I don't get a good night's rest before Joel's surgery....I'll be GRUMPY in the morning!!! LOL
